I recently went lighter and I’m liking it more than I thought I would! I’m pretty fair skinned naturally so I feel like my dark hair sometimes is a bit harsh? But I do love my dark hair too! Especially when I have a tan going haha. I’m six months away, so I’m trying to decide if I should go back to my dark hair or keep it light

Both colors look gorgeous on you! If you plan to curl/wave your hair, the highlights will look beautiful.
Go with the color you’re most comfortable with in the long run. You can try taking pictures in different lightings with your lighter hair prior to the wedding to get an idea of how it looks in photographs compared to your natural. Then go with your favorite look

Both look great, you can always darken your ombre on top and throughout so you get the best of both worlds- dark and light!

light is my fave but you look amazing either way!

I think both look great on you but i’ve been told by hairstylists that having a bit of colour dimension makes your wedding hair look much better for photos and adds texture- especially if there’s curls involved.

I would probably go with the darker hair because it might be less trendy and dated looking in the future than bayalage. The type of highlights that are in today may be out tomorrow. I also think the darker hair complements you well and I like the contrast with your skin tone. That said, the lighter look was well done and looks very nice and current. I wouldn’t call it blonde, though.

I would go with dark and add some highlights. so your hair will be nicely textured no matter how you decide to style it! I have really dark hair and have definitely experienced what elizabee17 :
said about a bit of color adding some dimension, I think that’s great advice!

I think the dark hair is SO striking. Especially against a white dress. You definitely look good either way though. Does your fi have a preference?

weddingmaven : that’s what I was worried about! I’m wondering if I’ll look back and think what was I thinking haha! It’s a lot lighter in person now that the color has set in but all my pictures are horrid!

Darker hair looks best on you!

I LOVE your dark hair personally!

I’d go dark. Your natural will only be that dark for a while naturally. Might as well enjoy it… and it’s timeless.
