I spent the past few months searching for the perfect ring for my girlfriend. I constantly visited these boards looking for ideas and pictures. I ultimately purchased the ring in the following link: http://www.bluenile.com/cushion-shaped-halo-diamond-engagement-ring_41112.
No matter how hard I searched I could not find a real picture of the ring. I’m posting these pictures now and a little about my experience in hopes that someone else will find it helpful.
First, Blue Nile. I read all the horror stories and warnings of buying online. I also read a lot about diamonds. I educated myself enough to feel comfortable purchasing a diamond online. Now I’ll have to carry around the endless facts about Table %, Depth %, Color, Girdle Thickness, etc. Once I decided to purchase the ring Blue Nile was awesome. They helped me order the ring over the phone on a Sunday morning (only ring that needed to be special ordered). That next week I called them again to change the size because I had gotten it wrong. They were courteous and even called me back later that day when they confirmed with the manufacturer about the size change. The order shipped on the estimated date and I picked it up the next day during my lunch break. Overall, awesome experience.
Second, The Ring.
It came out far better than I imagined (I have no idea how other people take pictures of their rings and make them look so good). Center stone is a 1.02ct Cushion, H-color, VVS2-clarity, Very Good Cut. The ring is a size 6 (hence me wearing it on my pinky in the picture). I really hope this post helps someone feel more confident about purchasing online. Although a little fear is helpful as well.
