    My ring is from BlueNile and I plan on getting an eternity band from them some day. My ring is amazing and I got far more band for my buck than if I went into a brick and mortar store.

    Sorry, I don’t have pictures of this or any other BN ring to share (though it is beautiful). There are definitely pictures of it to be found on BN’s recently purchased rings page:  http://www.bluenile.com/engagement-rings/recently-purchased-engagement-rings

    I just bought a diamond pendant (with the “design your own” feature) from Blue Nile and it is STUNNING. I am thrilled with the diamond, the overall look of the necklace, the price, and the customer service I received.

    Definitely give BN a call, they can answer your specific questions about the ring. I was actually shocked at how easy and fast it was to get a helpful person on the line.

    @Bubbabee:  I am pretty sure there’s a gap… that’s the ‘floating’ part.

    As PP suggested, check out the recently bought rings if you haven’t already.

    I’m not sure if this is considered ‘floating’ but it is from blue nile and I did NOT want a gap. I don’t think it’s pretty but to each their own.  Here’s a picture of mine from the side:

    I think the “floating” part of halo means there is a gap…I personally think this tends to make the center stone actually look smaller. Huge fan of halos in general though!

    @Bubbabe mine isn’t on there anymore because it is emerald shaped. What shape diamond will you be getting?

    @Bubbabee:  I have NO complaints with BL, I would highly recommend them. From one happy girl to another I’d say go with BluE Nile for sure. I wouldn’t change a thing!  :). Let us know what you decide (and pictures of course too).

    I would order a setting online from a highly reputable vendor, such as BN, but not a center stone and probably not a setting with melee.

    There is so much that goes into choosing a center diamond and some of that has to be done in person…(checking for dead spots in the lightplay, seeing whether it is a good one for its clarity/color grade, etc).

    Melee is less of an issue, but I want to be sure I’m getting well-cut, beautiful melee that hasn’t been graded too generously (they are not all the same by a long shot!). In the case I wanted a setting with melee like you are considering, I’d be willing to buy if I knew somone else who ordered something with melee from that company and I loved her melee (making sure to ask the stats she ordered for it so I could get the same). So, I’d say, see what Blue Nile melee looks like in person first.

    ETA: although, I think Blue Nile has a full refund period, so if that’s true, considering their rep, I’d try to find specific reviews of their melee, and if they are generally good, I would consider ordering a band with melee in it from them sight-unseen.
