Have any of you bees gotten your rings/settings from Blue Nile? Were they easy to work with? Was your ring as stunning as they appear to be? We are thinking of upgrading my original ring and I have fallen in love with a beautiful petite setting, but I hesitate because I would be ordering online without seeing it in person. Please tell me all about your experiences with Blue Nile and if you would, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post pictures of your beauties! (I LOVE looking at them all)

I’ll help get it started because I’m in love, but this is the ring we’re considering and that I’m so in love with!

We ordered my ring from there! It was so nerve wracking because I couldn’t find real life photos of my setting anywhere. To be honest when o first got my ring, I was suprised how dainty it looked compared to online- they always look bulkier online though! My setting is the Riviera pave. I picked out the ring and loved how you can find anything you want specs and price wise. Fiance had no problems ordering. We’d absolutely recommend BN.

Ring pic spam #sorrynotsorry. The one you are considering looks lovely!
I love my Blue Nile rings! My e-ring is the nouveau knife edge solitaire set with a 1.5 ct Round Brilliant. We went to a store in person together so he could see different styles and try some on to get an idea of what looked good and styles we liked and then he picked it out himself. The saleswoman heping us told us that there were no diamonds in our price range with those specs at all, but we had already done research online and knew that was ridiculous. Thousands of dollars markup in the brick and mortar store, and while the personal experience is different, we have had great service from BN, too. My band is a 1/4 ct pave band from them as well. We’ve had a very good experience. He bought and returned another diamond because the clarity was not to our liking based on how it was described, but they were great to work with. We also used them for a repair after a prong got loose, and they resized my e-ring as well. I would definitely recommend them.

The ring you are considering is beautiful! Both my engagement ring and wedding band are from Blue Nile. I was not involved in the purchase process of my e-ring but I don’t believe Fiance had any issues. It is even more gorgeous in person than online. It is solid with beautiful detailing. As for my wedding band I selected a platinum band with milgrain. It’s quite simple but again, heavy weight and a solid ring. I have zero complaints!

Fiance bought our stone there and had DK make the setting. He was happy with their customer service and he emailed them back and forth a lot until he made the purchase. I’ve read good things about their returns on pricescope.

I am frequent buyer from BN and my most recent purchase was my new upgrade! 2.01 round diamond in the Monique Lhuillier cathedral setting (same as JMarie) and their 2mm low domed band. Their customer service is amazing! I highly recommend them!

They were very easy to work with! We got my original engagement ring from them, and have gotten so many compliments on how sparkly the stone is. Their customer service is fantastic, any questions we had were answered very promptly. The setting you’re looking at looks like it might be mine, I got the petite cathedral setting. It’s very delicate, but that is what I was looking for so I am very happy with it 🙂

peachykeen83 : Your ring is absolutely beautiful! I love the setting even more now that I see it in real life! The size of your diamond looks like it perfectly balances the band.

I also got my ring from blue Nile. Petite platinum solitaire setting. Had absolutely no problems with the ring arriving (we are in the UK) and customer service was fantastic. I’m absolutely in love with it and it’s very comfortable to wear.

I think that I was unlucky with Blue Nile. I bought a diamond but although it was sparkly round the edges it didn’t perform well in the middle. I sent the diamond back and bought from Whiteflash instead.
You can ask BN today send the diamond first for viewing. You could then return it to them for setting. If you do this then make sure you have the diamond covered by house insurance and when you send it back do it by Fedex with appropriate content insurance.
If for any reason you’re not happy with BN then Whiteflash and Brian Gavin are excellent.
