Hello everyone! Long time lurker, First time poster. Boyfriend and I plan and being engaged by May (yay!!) we’ve been looking at rings from blue Nile and think they are amazing for the price. I would love to hear reviews on them. I am thinking of getting a .70 carat diamond with a size 5 finger. Can I see some pics of similar size? Sorry if there is any threads like this already, still learning the ropes here. Looking forward to learning a lot from all the bees, hopefully I’ll be starting to plan a wedding by the summer!! Below is the setting I’m thinking of getting:

My man got my e-ring diamond from Blue Nile. He said the whole process and experience was great and easy. And you definitely get great prices for the quality you are receiving. I love my diamond and it sparkles crazily! I have a video if you want to see:p When I was shopping for my wedding band , all the stores that I stopped by complimented on my diamond. My fiance said he will definitely shop from Blue Nile again. ( meaning I’ll get upgrades in the future? Haha) I’m so proud of him by choosing BN！I wish you will have the same experience and happy shopping 🙂

I cannot recommend them enough. My DH went through them (after I told him that it was the best value). Their customer service was great– they answered all of his questions and did a speedy return when my ring was the wrong size (when you lose weight, your finger shrinks 🙂 ). The ring is beautiful and I haven’t lost a side stone or had any problems. I have gotten tons of complements.
The only downside, if you will call it that, is you need to have someone sign for his package (would you really want a several thousand dollar ring sitting on the front porch? I think not). So if you don’t have a doorman or aren’t comfortable having it signed for by your secretary, then you need to have it shipped to certain FedEx locations.

I have a Blue Nile engagement ring and it is BEAUTIFUL!! The quality is great, I get comments on the cut of my diamond all the time (its an Asscher). My fiance enjoyed the buying experience enough that he also bought a pearl bracelet from them for me to wear on our wedding day.
As for my stone, its a .81 asscher cut on a 5.5 finger, but because asschers face up smaller, it would look like the .7 RB you are considering. Let me know if you want to see it and I’ll upload 🙂

My e-ring is from Blue Nile. It’s very pretty and I think their prices are really good.
The only downside is, you have to ship it off if you need it re-sized. I had to get mine re-sized and had to do a couple weeks without it, shortly after getting engaged, so it could be re-sized.

We ordered mine from BN. FI said he was much happier with the selection than other sites and it sounds like ordering was easy. As another Bee mentioned, you can mail it off to resize (I believe) but we just opted to have sizing beads put in by a local jeweler. They were able to without issue.
My only complaint is that the melee in my stones is a lower color than my center stone. Some sites have higher colored melee in the platinum settings but BN does not. My center is an F and my sidestones are an H (according to the site). If you have a setting with a lot of sidestones/halo I would make sure that the center is about the same color as the melee. It’s not so different that other people notice, but it is different enough that I do.

My Fiance got my engagement ring from Blue Nile. He’s the type of person that does his research before buying something so I trust that he got a great deal on it. I don’t know much about diamonds but it is super brilliant and sparkly (exactly what I wanted). I think the diamond is .8, and my ring size is 7. The other cool thing about Blue Nile is that you can buy the matching wedding ring too (though I’m not sure I will).

I haven’t used blue Nile, but I’ve only heard great things about it. I just have to say that the setting you posted has an incomplete halo that is making my OCD tendencies go a little crazy!

I am debating getting a blue nile wedding band. My engagement ring (center) is tacori and I always thought I wanted the matching band. After seeing Blue Nile upclose at their Nordstroms kiosk in Seattle, I am def. considering doing one of the bands in my picture!

My ring is from the Blue Nile Monique Lhullier collection. I love it!! My Fiance said they were great to work with and very fast delivery, even in Canada. He got an excellent price for the diamond. Although my setting is much simpler than yours, I thought I would show you anyways because it is a 0.7 carat diamond on a 4.25 finger, which is close to yours. I think the diamond looks larger in photos than in real life, so keep that in mind. You will get some great coverage with a halo!

I just got engaged on 12/29 and absolutely LOVE my ring from Blue Nile. It’s the Duet Halo ring with a 1.05 center round diamond. My ring size is 4.
I know it’s a bit scary to order online site unseen, but my diamond is gorgeous and exactly what I expected (maybe even better!). My Dear Fiance and I picked it out together. I actually was looking at smaller than 1ct, but he was adamant to actually get to the 1ct mark, haha. The double halo and Excellent cut of the center stone make it look larger, IMO. The value you get compared to most B&M stores is quite amazing. I loved the Tiffany Soleste (which looks almost identical to this setting from Blue Nile, and I also wanted a round vice cushion center), but did not love the hefty price tag to just get the Tiffany name. My ring seriously looks almost identical except for the shape of the center stone.
Anyway, best of luck!!! 🙂

One caveat I wanted to mention with Blue Nile – they might not have the best prices, although they really like to say that they do. My BF and I (we’re not officially engaged yet, but we already bought the diamond for my ring) saw a diamond we liked on BN and were able to find a diamond dealer in our area who not only brought it in for us to look at before purchasing, but was able to beat BN’s price. You might want to do a little bit of digging around before buying a ring from BN – you never know what you’ll find!

I think online is the way to go! We didnt go the BN route but we went through James Allen which is very similar. I absolutely adore my ring and the quality is outstanding. One great perk with JA is that you can view every single diamond they have in stock on a 40x magnification loop and check for any flaws before you buy to make sure it’s eye clean. I have nothing but good stuff to say about JA and I’ve heard great things about BN too! Goodluck with your ring search and congratulations on your imminent engagement!!

I’m from Australia and BlueNile was still amazing! They talked me through shipping my ring back when it needed to be resized, answered all my stupid questions and made me feel super relaxed about it, it was all free (expect the postage to them),they even have a deal for cheaper postal insurance. If it had only needed minor work they would have sent it to a local jeweller in my area.
Then, when they sent back the ring in a different ring box (my mistake, I wasn’t meant to send my original ring box back but misunderstood), they searched for a box like my original (they had recently changed the boxes to a new type) and shipped it to me with no charge to me.
The stone is STUNNING! Even when dirty it sparkles well and when clean it is blinding. It’s an emerald cut and they aren’t know for their sparkle like rounds are. The step cuts are so clear and just incredible.
i’ll have to try and get a better photo, but there’s one. It center is .5
