I was fitted at a jewelry store as a ring size 4.5, I ordered a size 4.5 ring with a 1.8mm band from MoCo and it fit perfect. Recently I ordered a size 4.5 plain 2mm band from Blue Nile and it only fit my pinky finger. I sent it back, they rechecked it and verified its a size 4.5 How?! I get that its .2mm thicker than my Moco ring, but to not even be able to get it to my knuckle on my ring finger seems absurd. Is the jewelry store and Moco both wrong on their sizing? Seems to me its the blue Nile ring that is somehow off. How do I know what size to get from blue nile for an exchange?

Sorry, but I’ve had accurate sizing from Blue Nile. Have you asked them to send a sizer?

echomomm : No I didnt ask for a sizer because I was sized at a jewelry store, and then ordered that size from a different jewelry place, and it was accuarate. Im wondering why their size 4.5 wnt even fit my finger to my knuckle. My co-worker let me try on her size 4 wedding band and it fit looser than the size 4.5 blue nile sent me. I really think its a size 3.5, but they say otherwise.

My engagement ring and wedding band both came from Blue Nile. My engagement ring was sized to a 6.5 and felt slightly looser than I wanted so when we ordered my wedding band we ordered a size 6. They are the same width and I don’t notice any difference in the size of the two rings. Maybe a half size is a very slight difference…but I thought I’d be able to tell. I haven’t taken them to confirm sizes anywhere else yet.
