I adore deep blue sapphire sooo much. So here’s are mine. Clasic “diana/kate’s e-ring” but with double halo 🙂

I’m so glad I saw this post.  I was actually going to pose a question to all of you with gemstone rings whether you regretted that decision. This is the dilemma I’m having right now as well.  I LOVE blue sapphires, but I’m also a bit of a “ringaholic” and have many gem stone rings.  I’ve wondered within myself if a sapphire engagement ring would feel “special” enough.  But every time I look at diamond rings, they’re beautiful, but my heart just keeps drawing me back to the sappire ones.

LekiliRN :  I would say it definitely feels special enough and I have not regretted it at all!  I love the character that colored stones have, including everything from zircons to colored diamonds and I wanted something that reflected my personality and was different than your traditional white diamond.  I love that the stone is the centerpiece in my ring, and I sometimes felt like white diamonds can tend to get lost in some settings.  Plus I can also tell my sapphire is mine by the way the facets are cuts and its inner blue fire.  If I didn’t get a blue sapphire, I would have gotten a diamond, sure, just a colored one.

bluecandy :  Beautiful shade of blue!  That same design was one of the first rings I treated myself to at a jewely show, but I didn’t know anything about stones at that point, and the sapphire is so dark it’s nearly black.
