This is my first post here 🙂
My question is regarding shoes. My wedding is 1920/Art Deco Themed and the colours are Gold, Black and Champagne with crystals/sparkles. My dress is Maggie Sottero’s Gianna Marie, it is champagne and heavily beaded.
The question is: is it too crazy to wear blue shoes when blue is not one of the wedding colours? I love these shoes and I think they would look great with my dress, but I do not want to stray super far from the colours I have picked.
My second option at this point would be to get the same shoes in Blush:
What do you think?
Thanks in advance for all your help!

I’m wearing blue shoes and my color theme doesn’t include blue either. I love your shoes, and I think the gold in them ties in nicely with both your dress and color scheme!

Those shoes are awesome! It’s not crazy at all. Not everything needs to match the color scheme perfectly (and they have gold in them anyway!)

I love this dress/shoe combo! IMO the subtleness of the blue makes this work perfectly

I love your dress and the sound of your entire wedding theme.
I think the shoes are beautiful; and so on keeping with your theme. Definitely go for the blue!
My wedding was so different from yours, but I had blue shoes despite having no blue in the wedding at all. I loved them and they looked great in photos! Plus it’s a nice extra surprise as people won’t often see the shoes!

If your dress is long enough, no one will see your shoes anyway. Blue shoes are actually very common, due to the “something blue” superstition.

go ahead and wear the blue shoes!

Let them be your “something blue”!

I think the blue shoes would look lovely! You don’t need to match your colors, and no one will likely see the shoes either. Lots of people use blue shoes as their something blue too.

I love the blue shoes…personally I have always felt your clothes do not/should not match the decor, rather everything shoudl fit the theme. For example my Bridesmaid or Best Man are in gold sequin dresses and my mom keeps suggesting every gold sequin linen we come across….not happening! LOL

estherbcg : I think the dress and shoes will look lovely togheter! And because they’re a lighter/turquoise-y blue they’ll go well with your colour scheme. I wouldn’t have had a bright blue with it, but those shoes will be perfect 🙂

I’m doing it too — our colors are burgundy, cream and gold (with a whole lot of green from the flowers) and I’m wearing these:

The blue shoes are amazing! They go with the theme!

Your shoes are amazing. Please wear them! I had light blue shoes with dark red ribbon that didn’t really go with anything! They worked out perfectly and I loved them.

Yep wear them! Nobody is going to see them anyways but you and the photographer! Get what makes you happy. They really only matter if you’re wearing a shorter dress when everyone will see them.
