A little background: fiance proposed with an awesome, cocktail-ring style placeholder, and we’re starting to look around for my f’reals ring. So far, I’m pretty stuck on Gemvara. For a straight-up type A like me, it’s kind of a dream come true. (You mean I get to pick everything?!)
I’m looking at blue topaz and/or aquamarine, with white sapphire accents, most likely in a palladium setting. Absolutely no judgment for those who prefer diamonds, but for various reason I’m focusing on non-diamond gemstones. So here’s my current obsession: the Vanessa ring.
Gorgeous, right? And those surprise stones!! Swoon.
So ladies – anyone with a Gemvara ring? I’ve heard good things, but I’m totally jonesing for real pictures. I would also LOVE to see your aqua or blue topaz beauties!

I have two rings from Gemvara – if you are looking to order from them, I would recommend them without hesitation. Awesome customer service! The ring you posted is beautiful!

I purchased a ring from Gemvara and ended up sending it back. I didn’t get one with stones, just a detailed silver ring to use when I was traveling. I love the detailing in the stock picture, but it wasn’t the same when it arrived. It seemed kind of all smudged together and the details were not crisp at all like in the picture. I might worry that the milgrain in the design you chose would be the same. On the plus side, they have a great return policy as long as you don’t remove the tag, so there’s really no harm in ordering it and seeing how it turns out! The presentation and packaging was very nice, and customer service was good, so can’t complain there, I just wasn’t happy with the ring itself.

Here is a picture of a Gemvara ring in blue topaz (the Enrapture Ring). My phone’s camera isn’t great but the blue topaz is my favorite shade of blue:
