Blush dress, white veil?

drabbee :  My veil is Ivory and my dress is mostly pink. I don’t have a picture of them together, so I would have to send it in about a month if you still want it. However, I find the tulle of my veil pretty much fades away. But the appliqué (and any lace/trim) stands out.

The only picture I have of my veil I’m wearing sweatpants and a blue tank top. If you’re interested I can post that now and than update it once I get my dress back.

It’s hard to say without seeing a picture I think it can still look great together. You need to ask yourself are you the type who likes everything to match perfectly or are you ok mixing things. Do you need your wallet to match your purse etc. I tend to be the type who likes things to match. But colors can be harder to match so if they do not make a veil to go with that exact dress I can see where the ivory would be a better choice.

The consultants reasoning makes no sense.  On that basis white dresses shouldn’t have white veils.  I think if your blush dress has ivory appliqués then the ivory veil will match that element so it should work but I’d have thought a blush would compliment your gown too

I had a blue dress and the choice of veil colour – I went with white as it stood out more and wasn’t so matchy! I think it looked more traditional too, which helped given the non-traditional dress and setting. I think you should get a picture with both and take a look a few days later, one will probably stand out as your favourite x

I think a white or an off white veil would look fantastic with a pink dress! Here are some examples I found on Pintrest. The first one is a white veil and the second is an off white veil. I would make sure you try both a white and an off white veil on with the dress. I have a white dress so I am getting a white veil and the white veils are very white! So an off white veil might look a little better with the pink. Just try them on and see what you like!

drabbee :  I would say get both so you can see what they both look like and then return the one you don’t want. I think this is honestly just a matter of opinion/style so go with what you like.

My gown is a pale blue tulle, so at first I thought I wanted a white or blue veil, but then I found a veil with some blush appliques that’s sooo pretty… so I bought both LOL.

My dress is blush and my veil is ivory. They look great together! I tried the blush too, and I liked that; I just happened to like the ivory a little more. Don’t stress 🙂 And what a sweet brother you have!

Oh after seeing pictures off white with the pink is really pretty. I totally get the wanting everything to match I think that’s why I’m having trouble picking out a veil my self. Really wish all dresses had matching veils. drabbee :

My dress was ivory but I had an ombre pink veil. Maybe that is something you can consider? I purchased it on Etsy. The shop name is Veiled Beauty.

(Please excuse the wrinkles in these pics. I just recieved it when I was at my dress fitting)

drabbee :  do an ivory veil it’ll be more gentle on the eyes. I think white would take away from you’re dress and i feel ivory would blend better so yes an off white would be the better choice juding from some photos bees are posting.
