For our civil wedding, I’m actually wearing an ivory dress from a “bridesmaid” selection. What I mean is even though I’m still getting an off white dress, I’m not getting the heavy traditional wedding dress with boning, corset, lots of underskirt layers, etc. Curls122 :

That is very beautiful! I wore a not so traditional dress for my nuptials as well, we did a very small intimate ceremony 6 people all together including us, then did a luncheon (reception) with our closest friends and immediate family that lived near. My dress was ivory/champagne and it was just a formal a-line/ballgown from Macy’s online! I ordered 4 dresses total, that was the 3rd one I tried on!

Lovely dress.  It’s easier to take a dress in than let one out so that’s something to keep in mind.
