Like others, I too have fallen in love with and chosen a “rum pink” or blush pink wedding gown which i had never even considered before when trying on dresses. I had gone to a specific shop looking for a particluar dress which turned out to be sold so the shop owner took the things I was looking for and pulled a few dresses. This was the 2nd dress I tried on and it was amazing! As I was considering the decision later I looked back through the dress photos I had collected for my gown shopping and noticed I had had like four pictures of this exact dress! It must have been fate 🙂 Now I have found myself in the dilemma of worrying about the colors of my bridesmaids dresses. Originally I was considering CYM wedding colors to be coral, yellow, and a turquoise tropical blue color. I’m having a spring wedding and most of my bridesmaids have fair skin and I don’t want my wedding party to look too washed out or have too much of a similar color to my dress. I have no idea what to do now about colors!

@Emileesou: Coral and yellow would still be beautiful. The turquoise might distract focus though. Maybe you could do varying shades of coral from dusty to bright and then you’d surely stand out in blush?

Thanks! This is my dress I wasn’t sure if the yellow and coral would still look good with this color.

Beautiful dress! I think coral and yellow would work. You could also do ivory or cream- that would give a more elegant look vs fun though? I don’t think your BMs will look washed-out, especially if you have some greenery in the bouquets to make the colours pop!

Have you thought about a charcoal / slate / grey?

Beautiful dress and gorgeeous colour! I dont think you have to stray from your original vision, as the dress is definitely pink/blush, but still very light, almost like ivory pink. I think coral would look amazing for you bridesmaid dresses!

Well I thought about having the guys wear a navy or dark charcoal colored suit. I thought it would be better to have the girls wear more color to to offset the grey? and thank you! 🙂

I’m a fan of the charcoal/slate/gray suggestion. Navy would work, too, or any muted blue, really. Then you could use flowers for contrast colors.

OMG that dress is gorgeous.
I agree also with the navy/charcoal color combo several bees have suggested!
