My dress will have a long cathedral plain train (no accents like buttons, rhinestone, pearls, etc). So I wanted a nice cathedral veil to go along with it – one that has a nice border to give the dress some touches of elegance during the ceremony. However, I also love the idea of my father getting to flip a blusher veil. I’ve never actually seen someone wear a blusher veil and I feel like wearing one with a cathedral will look funny. Have any of you had a blusher with a long veil? Are you getting one? Why or why not? If you had one would you still choose to do so? I’m so torn.

I will have 2 veils — one fingertip length with a blusher (a double layer veil when the blusher is flipped back), and a single layer cathedral on a separate comb so I can remove it for the reception.
You could have the blusher on one comb, and the cathedral on another, or both on one. Just rememberthou probably don’t want a long veil all through the reception! So make sure you can remove it after the ceremony/pics.
It will look great.

I have a cathedral length veil with a blusher layer, it’s the same Vera Wang style Chelsea Clinton wore. I think it’s a pretty common style. I’m the same as you – I’m looking forward to having my dad lift the blusher.

I had one and thought it looked pretty good. Best of both worlds!
