I’m between a few bumps in the road and a disaster.

About 8 months after I was engaged and 5 months before my wedding I was seriously thinking of asking my Maid/Matron of Honor to just get out and ending our friendship for good. I’ve wrote a few posts about it.  Although she has really turned it around since then, it seems really fake to me and I’m pretty sure we won’t really talk after the wedding.

Our problem wasn’t any drama with any particular bridesmaid but it was the high turnover rate for them. I originally wanted three but my hubby said he needed at least four so I had my sister(MOH) who lives in Georgia, my FSIL and two best friends from high school who both live out of state(Lousiana and Alabama). At first they all said they would do it and I started the planning. Months down the road when it came to the girls picking out their dresses, I never heard back from friend in Alabama after many emails and phone calls. She finally sent me an email saying she wouldn’t be able to do it because of work commitments so I asked my good friend who lives about three hours away if she would be a Bridesmaid or Best Man and she was delighted. So we continued on with the dress stuff only to have her drop out a month later due to money issues, I even offered to help pay her dress and told her she could stay with us at the hotel but she declined. Since there were still four groomsmen I asked my friend that babysits for us to be a BM so it would stay even. She said yes and I told her that if she dropped out she couldn’t watch my kids ever again, lol. Then about two months before the wedding my hubby decides to add one more groomsmen, which I was against, and had to find yet another girl to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man. I ended up asking my hubby’s cousin who I’m close with and we were finally set.
