Yes, I think it is just fine if the colors don’t match perfectly.

I also think they would truly appreciate having the option, as you mentioned money is tight for a couple of them.

I think that would look nice, the varied shades of grey. Having the girls all match and the guys in slightly different colors might make the differences stand out more anyway. I say go ahead and let the girls pick different shades of grey if you are fine with that look.  They will appreciate it, and in the end I think your pictures will look awesome. You can always show the girls the dresses you picked out originally and say this is something you can look at to get an idea…. some of them might choose it anyway given the chance!

Those are really cute.  I never thought of gray, but those dresses are very cute & I think it picks up whatever other accent colors you will be choosing very nicely!
