This dress is  available in size 22 at Nordstroms:

JS Boutique Beaded Matte Jersey Gown (Plus)

This is a similar dress available in regular misses sizing:

ML Monique Lhuillier Bridesmaids Pleated Charmeuse Gown (Nordstrom Exclusive)
Do you really need all the dresses to be the exact same syle? One advantage of black is that there are so many alternatives- you could have each girl in a style she likes and they will look amazing together.

Have you ever thought about inifity dresses? That is what I am doing because my bridesmaids vary so much in size that they can make the top however they want that best flatters them. AND they can wear it again after the wedding!

There are also a ton of cute (and very cost effective) options through DAvid’s Bridal, the advantage with them is the girls who wanted ot go try something on could but they can also be ordered online for simplicity. They have a wide range of styles and almost everything comes in plus sizes as well.

I agree – Nordstrom’s…my girls ranged from a size 4-22, and they carry a lot of designers that do a misses and plus version of their evening wear.  Plus their return policy is great.  My Maid/Matron of Honor was a size 4 when we bought the dress in April, and was a size 10 (she was pregnant) by September.  We were able to return the dress for a larger size with no problem.  So this is a really great option if your sister’s weight fluctuates due to the meds.

@totheislnds: Actually, the idea with Nordstroms is really the best.  I like the idea of having different dresses as well.  I have a very large bridal party with ALL different shapes and sizes (one girl is a size 26, I have another girl 6 ft tall, and another a size 0) so picking one dress wasn’t going to really fit everyone comfortably.

So, I had them pick their own dresses (in the same color and fabric) to give them their own beautiful/personal touch.  🙂

My opinion on Davids Bridal, unfortunately, is not a good one.  Yes, a VERY large selection … but, their price for the quality is too much.  And I haven’t been to one, yet, (because I’m sure they exist lol) that had good customer service.  If you want an enjoyable experience for you (less headaches) AND your bridesmaids … don’t go there.  (my personal opinion)

🙂 But, the black is beautiful and I think the choices are stunning.  Good luck and Happy Planning!!

If you don’t find a plus size version in Nordstrom’s stores or on their website, remember that the wedding specialist there can order it for you usually in any size or help you find a similar style.  I didn’t realize this until after we bought our dresses, and I received their wedding catalogue which showed WAY more dress options for all sizes.  At that point my girls were shopped out though and happy with their dresses (which is not a bad thing!).
