I’ve been using Amazon since a lot of their dresses have a great return policy if they’re fulfilled through Amazon. Dresses are less than $100 and look great. I’ve been buying dresses for my bridesmaids to try on and returning the ones that didn’t work out. That could be a good option if you’re not able to meet up and they’re buying remotely.

$200 seems steep for a dress they’ll only wear once, especially when you consider alteration costs. I’d ask each bridesmaid what their budget is and go with the lowest one for all of them.

I had mine go to David’s, since they are everywhere and you can order online. I took my sister, who lives in the same city I do, to try on dresses. I was originally going to give them several styles to choose from in the same color, but ended up with a convertable dress. It was like $150, but I gaven them plenty of time and they all got it with some kind of discount. I felt bad, but it was the only thing I required – they could wear whatever shoes, jewelry and getting their hair and makeup done was optional (and their cost). My sister ordered her dress and then got pregnant, so she was able to exchange it for a larger size without any cost or problem.

sunshadebride :  I was going to recommend Davids Bridal.  Not high end, but plenty of styles (even close to what you are looking for) and they have relatively low prices.  You can also look at department stores, which can keep costs down.

Also, you can find a brand you like and find places near each of the girls that sell it, like Alfred Angelo which sells at a lot of different bridal shops.

I have bridesmaids in various states as well, and I am using bella bridesmaids, but also letting the bridesmaids get dresses at different stores if they would rather do that.  I suggest you visit a a store and give them your budget and then you can shop for your desired styles within that budget. I found long dresses under $200 at Bella Bridesmaids.  Another store, Brideside, can ship dresses for bridesmaids to try on. You may also want to check out Azazie and Weddingtonway.

David’s Bridal was what I used! I had 8 bridesmaids scattered all over the country, and they all were able to get their dresses easily, and most were only $99

I had good luck with David’s bridal – 4 girls all across the U.S. I was able to find 3 dresses I liked in the same material and color for $99, so I was able to give them a choice and keep it affordable. They liked it because they all could find a store nearby where they could go in and try on the dress/get sized in person.

I haven’t looked recently to see what styles they have, but I used Target for my bridesmaids dresses and that worked out very well. Everyone could order their own and I think they were only $79!

sunshadebride :  The quality was really good. My sister was helping me look for dresses and there was a similar one at Jenny Yoo for more than double the price. While she was in the dress at David’s she said “I wonder how much of a difference there really is?” I liked them, they looked really nice. I had them in black, so if ever there is a chance of wearing a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress again, this would be it.

I used Bella Bridesmaids and thought they did a good job. It is nice that they are everywhere and carry a bunch of designers. I only had 4 bridesmaids, but two were out of state. I had the 2 out of staters go and try on dresses and then made decisions on colors (we did an ombre look) after they decided on styles. If you do decide to go with Bella, keep in mind they are all francised. So you would place the order with your store and your girls could have it sent to them, or pick up at your store. I think it was $15 to ship the dresses (2-day) and you had to pay tax if you picked them up. My two out of state bridesmaids shipped theres together and it was $20.

Good luck!
