So my BM’s and I finally decided on a dress for my three bridesmaids! The vera Wang Matte back cowl dress from David’s Bridal. http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Matte-Crepe-Column-Dress-with-Cowl-Back-VW360069 I really like the simplicity of it and the back of the dress, but hate the huge flower that they pair it with on the website. My colors are black, gold and silver. Does anyone have any sash ideas I could put with them? I mean I could easily do a rhinestone one, but I’d like to do something incorperating gold and or silver. Should I do smaller flowers? or a simle colored sash? I’d love to hear your suggestions.

I would honestly just do a plain black sash. I have matchy matchy looks so if you were to use another color…like say the color of a table runner or table cloth…it begins to look too uniformish.

I hate that designers think that for some reason, when a women wears a bridesmaid’s dress, they suddenly want to wear a sash of some sort. Do any of us own any other formal dress that comes with a sash -large silk flowers, beads etc?
If you want silver, I would find a good quality narrow silver belt.

simple black patent skinny belt if you truly want a belt. I think gold or silver will cut off the flow of the dress.

I like the black sash that is currently on the dress (without the large flower). Could you just get a black sash like that one? I personally think black on black looks very nice!

Thanks for all your replies! You all may be right about just leaving it black on black. You just get caught up with the bridal mess and everyone is throwing sashes on every dress you try on, it gets overwhelming. Thanks!
