One other thing.  Before you talk to the bride, make sure you’ve at least tried a few options so that you can say truthfully that you’re having problems finding a bra (assuming that nothing you try works, that is). You don’t want to come across the wrong way.

I had this exact situation several months ago.

In short, you’re screwed  Frown

Based on my experience, I doubt that you’ll be able to find bra, or, if you do, you’re going to be constantly worrying about it showing.

Your best bet would be an adhesive bra, but I kinda doubt that it would give you the support you need.

If someone has actually solved this problem, I would like to know too!

Putting cups in the dress would be best. By The Way, my friend saw the picture of your dress and wanna know would you mind telling where it is from. She would love it as an engagement dress. Should she buy it online?

I’ve had bras from victoria’s secret that had an “attachment” to go along with the bra.  Aside from the straps being removable or to change to a halter top, it also  had a strap that you hooked to the clasp on the back and wrapped it around your front around your waist and hooked it together.  It pulled the back of the bra down and it was comfortable.  Hopefully that was a decent description.

They actually do have bras that are for dresses JUST like this! The straps cross on the back and can be adjusted to be the placement you want them to be. 🙂

I have nowhere near the boobies, but I’ve heard that it’s somewhat common in pageants to actually tape your boobs up. With straight up duct  tape. Obviously a last resort, but if it’s coming from gals that Vaseline their teeth and have tape/glue on their butt to keep their swimsuits from shifting, it’d maybe be worth a shot.

I think before I got to the point of taping my boobs, though, I’d talk to the bride. She has to understand that this is a darn near impossible request for a larger-chested woman.

eta- ehow knows everything. I give you “how to tape your breasts.” For those playing at home, ALWAYS cover your nipples with breast petals or bandaids first. Lord have mercy on those that don’t. Ouch!

This VS bra does the criss-cross around the front thing, but the side straps are long enough to criss-cross them in the back too, so that you don’t have to do the halter. In the link, the third picture (scroll down until you get to the pink one), shows the side straps attached in the back, but you can unhook them and cross them.  I just went into my bathroom and tried it with my own bra.  I took a picture, but it’s awful, so I’ll save you from that, lol 🙂

eta: The only thing is if you even have a few ounces of tummy/ribcage fat, the strap makes enough of a tummy bulge that I personally would need a light waist-cincher (think spanx).  You might too.

This is just my opinion, but I don’t think that any bra with straps will work with that dress.

As far as I can tell from the photos, there is a fabric “twist” at the criss-cross point in the back.  That means that a diagonal bra strap is likely to peek out at some point.

The bra might also show on the lower back.  It’s cutting it really close, it looks like.

In ther words, even if you can “fix it” to not show, you’ll probably be worried about it all night!

If you don’t take my advice, at the very LEAST, do a test run.
