(Closed) BM dresses – advice please

It sounds like your dress has a very “strong” style to it and so I think something simple (like a strapless, knee-length dress for the BMs) would look best. You definitely want to be the one to stand out, so keep it simple with the other dresses.

I’m partial to chiffon. I think chiffon makes a dress look less like a stereotypical Bridesmaid or Best Man dress and more like a fun cocktail dress, which is what I really wanted for my wedding. My Maid/Matron of Honor (and only BM) is wearing a chiffon knee-length dress, and my gown is silk taffeta, and they go together really well!

Maybe it would be better for you to choose a few fabrics that your BMs would look good and be comfortable in and then choose between those which ones look best with your dress. I never really thought that the BMs dresses had to match the brides in any way.

Im not a fan of Chiffon…I’d go with Satin or Silk.

I second a satin or silk, simple knee-length dress.
