I know this is a stupid question, but the table cloths don’t have to be the same color as the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses right??? I’m doing a peacock wedding (dumbest idea I’ve ever had!) and trying to pull in all the colors without it looking like a circus . So I’ve decided to do peacock blue satin table cloths with a gold organza runner and chair sash (chairs will be ivory covers). The Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are deep plum. Flowers are purples and blues. I wanted the reception to have a warm, romantic feel to it (don’t we all) and using the bronze/gold and that blue really look nice. But the BMs won’t stick out in a bad way will they? It’s not like they’ll be sitting at the tables very much (we’re not even having dinner on these tables, they are for cockatail purposes only). Here’s the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress and the table inspiration I found. And the orchids that will be used in bouquets and centerpieces (submerged in cylinder vases)

Personally… i wouldn’t want to match the table cloths- I think the bridesmaids will thank you for not making them look like walking decorations.

@papercrane LOL that’s what I was thinking…I’m just afraid it’s too much color, but i think it will look really nice..

I think all of the colors will look nice together. Like papercrane said…I think your Bridesmaid or Best Man will actually appreciate NOT looking like the tables =)

@PaperCrane: lol. love it 🙂
I think that it’ll be great! Also… I am doing a peacock wedding too and i think it’ll be awesome! We’re doing sapphire blue, jade green, and gold though (vs. using purple). I don’t know what to do about table linens because it is so much $$ to upgrade to satin but the flat poly linens just dont seem very rich in tone. 🙁

@corgi I’m buying my linens on weddinglinensdirect.com, they are super cheap! I’m not using the venue’s gross boring old polyester stuff. 😉

They don’t have to match, and your pics prove it! They’re lovely.
