I can’t  believe that the sight of the BM’s knees could ever upstage the bride!

@inspiration86:  I don’t really agree with this. If you are going to cover the knees, I’d go with a long dress then. Tea-length can be so awkward on people.

I think they can be of any length, BUT it sounds to me like one Bridesmaid or Best Man is self conscious about wearing a very short dress, and doesnt want to be the only one in say a tea length dress. I would try to work out a compromise.

My girls range in sizes 2-12 (i’m actually bigger than all of them)

They are choosing their dresses – I asked for short (so knee length or higher) and I asked that their vagina not fall out of the dress. That’s about it.

My girls are in short dresses (not bumskimming or anything but definitely above the knees), and I’m not concerned about them upstaging me. The three of them are gorgeous and will look great in their dresses, but I’ll be the one in the big white dress!

My girls wore long dresses but that was because we wanted everyone in formal attire.

This reminds me of Saved by the Bell, when Jesse has the cheerleaders get long skirts.  LOL

@inspiration86:  I think thats ridiculous. Its not possible to upstage a bride on her own wedding day….shes’s the BRIDE! Also, either go just above the knee or full length…anything in between wont look right.

@sunkissed19:  lol, nice. I told my girls I didn’t care what they wore as long as nothing fell out and they wore bras, no free-boobing in front of my family!

My girls are all wearing the same dress but they’re different heights so the dress falls at different places. A couple of them asked if they could get it hemmed to be above the knee and I thought it sounded fine. I think super short dresses would be out of place in a more formal wedding but I don’t see why that would upstage the bride.

I don’t see what covering one’s knees has to do with looking hot or upstaging the bride whatsoever.
