I think it would look really interesting and unique. Ive never really been into the matchy-matchy of bridesmaids, there is always the ones who look really good and then the ones who the dress doesnt flatter as much, and you feel bad for them, and then its boring because everyone looks the same. I really enjoy seeing variety in bridesmaids, is unique, personal, and modern.

I think it would work well with gray. Sometimes when there are a lot of warm/cool shades of a color it can look odd–like green: hunter green and lime green and kelly green and sage green don’t necessarily look good together.

FABRIC should be the same.

I really don’t like the chiffon AND satin (or cotton or whatever) look in the same colour.

Gray goes well with a lot, its a very neutral color that can have different color tones in it to make it match almost anything. I think in the case of ivory, a lighter gray with some creamy or warmer tones would go well. If you pick a color, pick ONE color that they can pick any dress in, or pick ONE fabric that they can find different (warm) gray shades in. I picked truffle and all my bridesmaids picked dresses in different fabrics but it looked fine to me, and they all loved their personal dresses. But then, like I said, I think matching is sometimes boring. here is a pic, sorry its huge.

I’m doing this with my girls, but they all have to be from Davids bridal. I did compare their fabrics, and decided that they were close enough if they were the same color that I really don’t care what fabric they get. And I’m telling them to get long. They’ve all bought their dresses, but I dont have a picture all together yet (obviously,) but I’m sure it will be lovely!
