OH I had so much trouble with this.  My wedding is now three months away and I look at the pictures and wonder why I didn’t pick something more like that.  I loved so many colors and I kept changing over and over.  But once you pick you are stuck since all of my girls now have their dresses…  🙂 I am sure it will all be amazing in the end!

I was just thinking the same thing! My dress was soooo easy. It was the first dress I tried on for serious.

I am having the hardest time with the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. I can’t pick a colour either. Or a fabric. Or a style. Blergh. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one!

My wedding is exactly 4 months today and I do not have Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses yet. My Bms have not had time to come and try any on and they keep insisting that we have tons of time. I talked to my bridal salon today about some dresses I had my eye on and now they tell me it is to late to order the ones I wanted without rush fees. So I tell this to my girls and they still are like well i have no time this week at all……. Do not know what to do

My Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses were easy…  We found the perfect dress early on in the first trip.  The problem was that they didn’t make that dress in either of my colors.  🙁

We searched and searched and searched, and we did finally find a decent replacement, but I still regret not being able to get that first one.

I’m having trouble too. I can’t decide on a color or style. It’d be nice to have at least one or the other down! Sigh. Luckily I’m not doing any real shopping until May when my Maid/Matron of Honor comes into town, but I have a feeling I’ll still have no clue what I want by then.

@nycbrde2011:  Poor thing. You should go by yourself, or just bring 1 other person. I’m not bringing all my girls shopping with me, it would be too much of a mess. I’m going to bring my Maid/Matron of Honor, pick out the dress, and just tell the other girls how much they are and where they have to order them.

At the moment my big issue is trying to get the BM’s in to order their dresses in time. You see, my BM’s and I picked a dress that is being discontinued. So Im trying to remind them that if you wait too long it might be too late.

Luckily, I think there are only 2 that need to order theirs. But still. Its nerve racking!

@cejo13:

I only have 2 Bms so I wanted to have both of them with me pick and order all at the same time! Starting to panic

Sorry for thread jacking:

@nycbrde2011:  Just curious. Are you the lucky lady getting married at Elkin’s Estate? There was a girl on here with a Smurfette picture and I was dying to find out how her planning was turning out amidst the bankruptcy. If it’s not you, sorry in advance lol.

Back on topic, I let my girls mismatch and it turned out to be worse than anything I could imagine. My Maid/Matron of Honor (who is my sister) pulled an ego trip and said that her dress should be the fanciest , even though I had picked out two dresses for the other brides that were only similar color, but with the same kind of embellishment. It was a nightmare.

One thing about bridesmaids dresses is that once you are kind of able to form an idea of what you want, do not budge or become lax! lol.

I think it’s normal. I flip-flopped between colors for three weeks. I’ve given myself too much time to plan (Oct. 27) I work better on short deadlines. Finally had enough. I went with the original color, picked a dress and told the girls and haven’t looked back. I find myself getting hung up on things like that. Usually it only takes the FI  threatening to make a decision himself to get me focused and moving forward.

They always tell you once you find your dress, stop looking.  Same goes for bridesmaid dresses.  I’m not having the problem b/c my ladies are wearing LBDs of their choice.  Every so often I see a cute dress that would have worked, but TBH I’m just glad its one less thing I have to worry about!

OMG…besides the guest list, this was the worst part!  I think it’s because you want everyone to be happy with your choice, but not everyone will be.  Which is a hard pill to swallow!

Yep! I bought my dress the first day we went shopping, too! MOHs got their dresses at J Crew- I love the color & style, but I have had second thoughts that we should have gotten long vs. short.

The color was easiest to decide- our wedding colors are green & orange, which neither (2 attendants) would look good in, so we went with a light grey.
