How are you ladies going about having our girls do their hair for the wedding? Do people have them all styled the same or different for each girl? Do you tell them to pick out something? I have someone lined up to do their hair. However, I have no idea what to tell her I have in mind for doing with their hair….of course they all have different length and texture of hair.

I just told my girls to wear their hear however they like. If you’re doing hair accessories than you might just require that they have that in their hair and let them choose how to wear it. It still gives the look of uniformity but the girls will feel more comfortable.

So does everyone just tell the girls to do what they want? I do like the idea of them all having a pretty flower or something in their hair though.

Yes, I would let your BMs decide how they want to wear their hair. They have individual styles that should be respected vs. making them all look uniform. I really think you risk crossing the line into Bridzilla-ville if you start making demands of their hair…

@Farfromachildbride I could see how that could bridezilliaish but everyone of my 6 girls have asked about the hair. They have told me that they don’t care about how they do it and will do whatever I think is fit. So if they don’t care then I don’t think they will label me as a bridezilla.
I just wasn’t sure if it was normal to have them all wear a simular style or do have different styles.

I’m suggesting an era for hairstyles (the 40s) but how they interpret that is totally up to them. I love the idea of being surprised! 🙂

I let them do whatever they wanted. They were kind of indecisive about that so our hair dresser helped them come up with some ideas.

I just told mine to do whatever they wanted as long as it was an “up do”. One had hers half up/half down and the other did a side braide.

@Statutory Grape I love the idea of era of hair! We are having a vintage wedding and I would LOVE if they did all vintage looking hair! Great idea.
@artbee I can already tell that my girls are indecisive about the hair. Most of them would be happy to have me or the hair dresser do what we think would look good.
Thank you ladies for all your ideas. I feel much better about what to tell them I am thinking.

Good question! I think I’m going to let my girls do what they wish and give them the option of having their hair done professionally, though certainly not demanding it.

i was in a wedding where there was 12 attendants and most of us didn’t really care what our hair looked like. we showed up at the salon and just let the hairdressers make suggestions based on our hair length and texture. we all ended up with our own looks but still looked great together as a group.
