Looking for something non-traditional that sounds good/is available in instrumental. I was thinking "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve, but it gets pretty repetitive and I think it may get annoying when it plays for a minimum of 2 minutes while the BMs and FGs are coming in. Any ideas? Anyone know if U2’s "Beautiful Day" comes in instrumental, and if it sounds good?

I found an instrumental of "Beautiful Day" on youtube, but they’d just edited out the singing and you could still hear the backup singers. Could I find someone who knows what they’re doing a little better who could just edit out the singing?

Movies are a great place to look for instrumentals. We’re using the love themes from Love Actually and the theme from the Princess Bride. They are nice instrumentals that have a good pace to walk to.

I just found the Princess Bride theme! It’s gorgeous, and it’s always been one of my favorite movies. So maybe that’d be nice… Thanks!

I really liked the idea of an instrumental "Beautiful Day"! There is a nice instrumental version on Itunes by Vitamin String Quartet.

but…what about if you are being married in a catholic church which doesn’t allow much contemporary music? What would you suggest?

I am using the theme song from The Princess Bride as well! I believe it is actually called, "A Story Book Love". LOVE IT!

I have a good idea. I’d also wanted to use The Verve "Bittersweet Symphony" but then I did a little more research (you know how they sampled it from a Rolling Stones song), so I found the original and I loved it.
Go to YouTube and type "The Last Time" by Andrew Oldham Orchestra. We’re planning on using it… we’re just not sure when!
