I would go for a nice sage green in March.  Green is the color of new beginnings, like the springtime (and marriage!).

Oh the sage green is so pretty. I love how that color looks with a little bit of that sheen, i think the material is “shantung”? I am going with very natural pastels; light coral (peach), nudie pinks, light aquamarine (the birthstone of the month) and light earth colors.

Red is a lucky wedding colour in Chinese culture. Maybe an apple red with green and white? It keeps it light and fresh for spring/early summer.

Hopefully this will help your dilemma. I don’t think I incorporated any unlucky colors (The white can be aa accent color or just your dress color)

I’m Chinese myself and had my maid of honor wear a coffee brown which goes with about anything and picked flowers that really popped (since those really make the difference in pictures). It was nice because when I changed into the traditional quipao, it was red (which went well with the maid of honor’s dress). My wedding bouquet by the way was hot pink with orange and my centerpieces/alter pieces included hot pink, orange, and a dash of white lilies.

green, brown and pink!  earthy, with a little bit of zest!  I heart pink and brown invitations.

I like the green, brown, and pink suggestion!

One of the photographers we interviewed suggested that we incorporate a lot of color instead of relying on typical flowers that were white.  According to the photographer, they don’t show up well in pics and tended to blend too much into the dress.  I think that the brown looked great against the colored flowers.  I initially wanted my maid of honor to wear black since it was at a country club, but my mom was completely against it.  She said that Chinese people wore black to funerals and black wasn’t appropriate for a wedding.

In all honesty, I wasn’t sure how brown would look with the colors I chose.  But they looked amazing and I got a lot of compliments on the whole setup of the wedding including the choice of clothing for the maid of honor.

I definitely thought about going with “fern” but decided against it since my maid of honor had a bit of a tan and looked better in “mocha.”

Here is my BM’s fern green dress.  I am having trouble determining what color bouquets to do for them though!
