I think you can pick them out but within reason. Not accommodating for budgets is unreasonable. For example, I did not get a budget from my maids. I knew what I wanted – long chiffon dresses in certain colors (dusty lavender, mauve, blush, maybe a floral of the colors). I picked 30 dresses I would be okay with ranging from $50 to $300. I even said if they find something similar they like to show me before purchasing. The only stipulation is I wanted them in different colors. This allowed for me to have final say while they were able to select with their budget and what would be flattering from them as they all have different body types. They were almost all from nordstroms and asos which include free shipping and returns, so a few of them bought many and returned the ones they didn’t want. One girl found a similar but different one that was originally $250 on eBay for $40. She asked me to okay it before she got it. One girl got an $80 one. Another girl purchased the $300 one because it was her favorite, it was floral so she thought she could wear it again, and it was she could afford as she makes a lot of money. I was happy because I approved them and they were happy to pick their own. It is totally doable to get what you want without being rude. I’m afraid you’ve ventured into bridezilla territory with this.
