I was in a wedding where another bridesmaid was pregnant, but she knew before the dresses were ordered. We went with infinity dresses, which can accommodate baby bumps.

My sister is TTC now and will most likely be prego for the wedding. We are waiting for the latest possible date to order her dress to see if there’s any update in her prego status and have a better idea of just how prego she might be! Will probably end up ordering her dress a size or two big to account for the baby bump! Most bridal consultants and seamstresses will tell you this really is not a big deal at all. Just don’t order the dress until as late as possible!

@emmanneliza:  that’s about right depending on the queue of customers they have. I ordered mine in June (They are in today will pick up next week sometime).

I have one that knew she would be TTC so she ordered her dress larger and picked a style with a high waist to accommodate a bump.  Another found out she is expecting and isn’t sure with her due date if she will make it to the wedding.  She is holding off ordering her dress as late as possible to get the best idea of fit (again high waist).  In SIL wedding a friend found out after dresses were ordered she called in time and had them bump up the size.  Also had it altered so the waist on hers was higher than the rest of ours to be accommodating?  It worked out perfectly.

Also if it has already been ordered and the size can’t be changed she could try and sell original and find a replacement online.

Every salon I have been to says to order no later than November for my March wedding – so 4 months to leave time for ordering and alterations.

For my sisters wedding there was 2 BM’s that were pregnant when they ordered the dresses but would have the kid before the wedding. They just had to estimate their size and order a size bigger just incase. Another was pregnant during the wedding. She was only like 5 months at the wedding tho – I think she just ordered a size or 2 bigger and just got it altered.

I have a Bridesmaid or Best Man TTC. We are waiting about 4 months out to see how far along she is. I had already settled on floor-length chiffon dresses so that should be fine for an expanding tummy. I also am allowing my girls to choose their own designers (as long as they stay in certain color palette) so if she wanted to wait and buy off the rack it would not be a big deal .

I will be almost 8 months pregnant when I am a Bridesmaid or Best Man in my friends wedding. I found out right after we ordered our dresses. The salon had me order 2 sizes larger in the chest than what I measured (which happened to be the size I had already ordered, dang hips) and then we ordered extra fabric so they can make me a new belly. I have my fitting scheduled for 4 weeks before the wedding. This is the dress we are wearing.

My Maid/Matron of Honor. She wasn’t showing that much yet btu her boobs grew a ton so her dress didn’t fit. They put in a coresette and it was no big deal.

Well one of my BMs is no longer expecting sadly. I ordered a dress she had room in. Hopefully it will still fit her, its in October. She was only 9 weeks. Shame. I was looking forward to being an Aunt.
