Anyone tried this? I am getting bored with my regular protein shake, wondered if this is a good alternative? Not interested in doing the hwole program, but just using the shakes in the morning for breakfast. Worthwhile?

It looks like the protein on that shake is a bit low. I’m not sure about the brand overall though.

I actually use this. Personally I really like it cause these days if I didn’t have this I’d eat terribly. It fits my lifestyle of being rushed in the am to make b fasts and lunches for everyone else. I can throw ANYTHING into it and it tastes good. I even put 2 cups of raw spinach and it was still good! I have friends that use it too. And they love it and have been on it for years. I have used it for a couple of months and really like it. It is cheaper than Isogenix too. I got sick of it for 2 weeks and then got back on it and am still using it everyday.

I know someone that promotes it, so I gave it a shot. Honestly, I didn’t like it. It tastes okay, but it wasn’t too high in protein and gave me awful stomach cramps. It’s supposed to be a ‘diet shake’ and I didn’t lose a thing while I was on it.
If you just want a protein shake, have you looked at egg white protein shakes? I put almond butter in mine and it thickens it up and fills me up!

@BluegrassBridetoBee: I have not looked at egg white shakes…kind sounds gross to me to be honest lol. But I OD’d on egg whites a while ago and am sort of turned off any and everything to do with them (ate them 3x a day sometimes for weeks on end cause they were easy).
Gave you stomach cramps…and idea why?
I am skeptical of weight loss products like this, was just hoping for something different to change my routine. Right now I take Natural Whey Isolate in the chocolate flavour, and I am just so darn BORED! But I detest mornings, and usually only have minutes to spare to get myself up , ready, kiddo’s lunch packed, breakfast for him etc so a shake is good becasue I can drink it on my drive to work. My PT said that the protein/carb balance in the AM is super important for the rest of the day’s metabolism, so the protein content is pretty important.

I think the only way it can be a “diet shake” is the idea of you getting all your nutrition needs met in 90 calories, instead of say, a 400 calorie breakfast. I never thought drinking it would make me lose weight, rather, it would help me consume less calories. which in the long run would help with “wieght loss” but I am not trying to lose “wieght” just slim down and tone up. Just a thought:)

I have tried this. I actually gained 15lbs. made my sweet thooth horribly worse because of the artifical sugar thats in it… also, its not much different than slim fast. I do use a different shake now. Its a bit more expensive but it works amazingly because I am actually getting all the nutrition my body needs – therefore it doesnt feel like it needs to hold on to everything and helps me lose weight. one more thing… yes its 90 calories… but thats with water. and it states that for it to be a meal replacement it should be drank with a milk or something of substance- so really its not only 90 calories plus all the other stuff you need to add to make it taste good. If you want to try a shake id say look into shakeology. but shakes are not necessary. simply eating clean and working out will work. =D feel free to pm if you have questions.

@lovebugfouts: Thanks, I am not really looking for a “diet” shake to replace anything, just a change from my usual suspect, Natural Whey. I eat pretty clean, just like something super quick in the mornings as I am always running late. Shakes fit the bill, but I am so bored of the one I use now! I think I might try a different flavour (or Vanilla since that is the only other option lol) and mix it with a bit of fruit juice and water.
Thanks for the info, I actually used my Arbonne shake mix this morning, but was horrified to see the amount of sodium in it! Obviously I didn’t read the label when I purchased. Also has more fat, 3x the sugar than the brand I use now, which is sweetend with stevia.
