I’ve always been a “bigger” girl and then at 19 I started having babies. Five in seven years to be exact. But in 2011, I decided to change my life. Since then I’ve lost 90 lbs and had a tummy tuck. I’ve gone from a size 24 to a size 12/14. XXL large shirts to a M-L.
I’m not blind, when I look in the mirror or at pictures I can see the difference, but in my head I’m still the same.
I’m 36 years old and would love to embrace my new found curves and figure, but I’ve found when dress shopping, I seem to have a massive case of “fat brain”. I know I shouldn’t compare myself to younger, taller, thinner women. I mean I am pushing 40 AND have five children (now ages 17-10) BUT….well….
Anyone else have body image issues?
