I had a MUCH smaller flower budget (I also had a very small intimate outdoor wedding in a wooded field) but went with the bohemian vibe.

I chose wildflowers of all different vibrant colors (several shades of pink, purple, yellows, lots of greens, some whites, greenery even a few blue!) and placed them in various & unique looking “skinny” bottles, vases and jars. I did about 20 different (single or double stem per vases) per table, a few larger (about 50 stem) vases on the cake, gift and sign in tables and a few (3-4 stem per jar) hanging from a few chairs that lined the ceremony. I did DIY them- in the sense that i personally picked them out the morning of (yes, I’m a nutjob) and placed all the individual flowers in the different vases. It took about 3 hours (timed from picking out the flowers to decorating the venue) to get it done and cost me 60$ for the flowers alone. Yes, 60. With 1k…you could go big! ๐Ÿ™‚  All of my vases, bottles and jars I collected from thrift stores and or garage sales, etc over the course of my engagement. I spent 50$ on them which include over 100 mason jars that i placed candles in the line a walkway of the canal that was next to the ceremony site and six apothocary jars I used for additional decoration.

I don’t know if you have a Central Market in California (it’s quite like whole foods) but their wildflower selection is AWESOME! I didn’t pre-order anything, just walked right up and grabbed what I wanted the morning of. Didn’t even mention it was for a wedding. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good Luck!

I would definitely look at Kelly Clarkson’s bouquet. When I saw it it screamed colorful bohemian to me. Good luck! ๐Ÿ™‚
