I would not pair a bolero with that dress because it has so much going on already. Do you have to wear it for religious readons? If so, you may want to keep shopping. I don’t think either of your identified options would compliment your dress. The fabric textures are too busy.

I think that if you find one that matches in color and material, it would look much nicer.  I have to say, though, that I have looked at so many boleros and wraps for my dress.  I never found one that was “perfect” and settled on one just so I have something while I was outdoors taking pictures. I NEVER USED IT, lol!  It was my first time wearing anything strapless too.

I personally like the second one better.  And I totally get you with wanting your shoulders covered – I’ll either get a bolero or add cap sleeves to mine as well.  Happy shopping!

Buy a full bolero and wear it under your dress i would buy it in ivory
