I’m wearing a strapless lace dress with a lace bolero that buttons in the back. I went to my second fitting and tried lifting my arms over my head. The front flipped up over my chest immediately. My seamstress is going to take in the sides of the jacket more to see if it will help, but there really is no way to prevent it.
The reason the is a problem is because Fiance and I have been taking dance lessons and will be surprising everyone with a choreographed first dance. I will have to lift my arms for turns and other moves and I don’t want to keep pulling the jacket down while dancing or at any other point I’ll nred to lift my arms.
I do have a second dress that is a 1-piece 3/4 sleeve dress, so I’m conside ring just switching to that dress since it’s less of a hassle.
Here is the dress with the bolero. Any suggestions?
