I agree that jackets and boleros are great! I’ll probably look for one once I choose my dress, especially since it will be in a church and I’ll be more comfortable with my shoulders covered (I usually don’t have them bare, so it’d be awkward and I’d probably also get cold).

I also just looked at this post, and really like one of the dresses. Its the 4th photo down on my screen, and the pic is called “425_2007front_wshawl.jpg” Any chance that anyone knows what this dress is?

I LOVE boleros!!  I wore one with my dress after the ceremony.  It was covered in pearls and gave the dress a whole different look.

I’m doing one! I’m getting married in late October and I get cold easily, so I needed one.

Mine is going to be more like these:

I have a longer jacket over my dress with a sash over the jacket.  As a plus sized girl, I’m more comfortable with my arms a little covered.  It was also a great way to save money.  Since I didn’t want a long train, I went with a simple white bridesmaids dress and had a friend make the jacket and sash for me.  The lace was a little pricey, but in the end, I’m only spending about $300 including alterations.

This was the look I was going for and got pretty close!

I absolutely love them. I haven’t started my dress search but i intend on getting a fairly simple dress and then vamp it up with a bolero.
