It depends upon which denomination. Catholic churches usually require 6 months in advance.

Every church is different so there is no one answer. Have you tried asking your church their about policy/practice ?

Like PPs said, it can depend on 1- church/theology rules and 2- simple scheduling factors of how far out other couples have called. We bookd our church over 18 months ahead of time, because all of the dates within one year were booked. Our premarital counseling requirement only took 3 meetings/2 months, so it was purely a scheduling issue. I’d start calling around to get an idea.

Our venue books out 2 years in advance. The only way we could get a sooner date is if someone cancelled theirs. You may need to change your date or look for a new venue. Hopefully you can get the date you want with no issues though but be prepared to compromise on either the date or place.
