@Bostongrl25: We read The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by John Gottman and really liked it.

Also, it’s more geared towards women, but on the recommendation of someone on the board, I’m currently reading “If It Was Easy, They’d Call the Whole Damn Thing a Honeymoon” by Jenna McCarthy. It’s hilarious but insightful at the same time.

I definitely recommend the Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. My Fiance and I aren’t married yet, but I read it and I think all serious couples should.

@Bostongrl25:

Saving your Marriage before it Starts by Les and Leslie Parrot. This book also has workbooks, one for you and one for your SO, filled with a plethora of different things that are a good idea to look into before saying, “I do”.

Those same books!

My fiancee and i decided to read The Five Love Languages on our own, along with taking the time to read and go through The Seven Principles for Making Marriages Work. We refer back to those books often and talk about how much we learned. Definitely useful and such good insights. Brought us A LOT closer and helped us learn so much about each other!
