@kate02121: would loveeeeee to go, but not sure our finances can handle it (mainly because flights are so high) You’ll have to post a recap as I desperately want to go and maybe not this year, but in a few years!

I would also love to see a recap. Darling Husband really wants to go to South africa this fall and I would love to venture into Africa as well. Sounds like you havea great trip ahead of you.

ETA: Would you be willing to share the cost for this trip excluding airfare? Thanks.

Omg that sounds like the trip of a lifetime. Would you mind sharing the cost? PM me if you don’t want it displayed publicly.

Ahh!  So jealous!  An African safari is one of my dream vacations!  I can’t wait to see your trip recaps.

Would you mind PMing me as well with what you are spending (broken down by each of the 3 sections of your trip if you don’t mind)?  Gotta figure out how much Darling Husband and I need to save to make this happen at some point!

kate02121:  So forever later but I’m curious because that’s where my boyfriend and I want to go on our honeymoon (I know, we talk about all these things already and I dont even have a ring on my finger LOL). Was it worth the expense? Would you recommend it to anyone???? Should we start saving pennies right about now??

Thanks 🙂

I’ve been to Zanzi, Nungwi specifically and it is BEAUTIFUL.

I’ve done a few safaris, and I recommend staying at a resort that has other things to do- ie. you can do the camping thing and go on safari all day, but after about 3 full days of that you can (and I hate saying this) get bored. If you can break up days in the jeeps with other activites it makes all the difference in the world, and that usually comes with staying in a resort.
