Fiance and I cruised to Belize in May. We had a wonderful time snorkeling. The waters are beautiful and the people are really nice. However it was EXTREMELY hot; way hotter than the other places we visited. The day we went it was like 48C. Pack your sunscreen! 🙂

I highly recomend staying on the resort. My grandfather lives in Belize during the winters and I will honestly never go and visit after everything Ive heard about the country. Also I highly recomend PackSafe as purses and camera bags they are a great product. We used them in Italy and my grandmother still uses hers every single day as a nice purse.

I’ve been to Belize twice and loved it both times.

I always felt safe both at the resort and away from it.

The first time I went we spent a week in the jungle horseback riding. We also took a trip to the Mayan ruins in Guatemala.

The second time I went we spent a week at the beach. We did a few excursions including a hike in the jungle which included rappelling down into a huge sink hole, snorkeling, a resort scuba trip, cave tubing, and zip lining.

Belize is a fantastic place to visit, you’ll have an awesome time!

@naturalysam:  Where in Belize does your grandfather live? We never had any issues while we were there, and never felt unsafe at all.

@KatNYC2011:  He lives in Dangriga. Hes been pick pocketed, house has been robbed twice not including the contractors another two times, hes also been taken by a con man. How I think of some people in Belize is thats where people who are trying to evade the US government go to hang out. There are some incredible locals however. Personally he loves it down there but I could not imagine ever going myself.
