Ok so we decided on a venue and booked it finally, but I have to provide all the decor and while googling for decor ideas Im having a hard time deciding on what the theme of the house is…is it victoria, heritage, vintage, rustic, etc. Can someone tell me what kind of words would describe this type of house so I can better search for ideas? Thank you! Its especially annoying to have people ask what kind of venue it is and I have no idea how to explain it *ps sorry for the big pics!

At the risk of sounding like the ultimate creeper, I’m pretty sure I’ve been to a wedding here. It’s a private estate just north of Toronto right?
If it’s the same one I can say that the wedding I was at was lovely! They had it set up so the living room was stocked with cheese, crackers, apps and wine when everyone arrived, I believe there was minimal decorations in there – you could maybe put a few flowers here and there. And then the solarium/reception area was done very modern, crisp whites.
In terms of how to describe it, I would tell people it’s a historic mansion that’s now being rented out for private functions.

I would go with “Historic Mansion” as it is a mix of architectural styles.
It will be a be a gorgeous venue, and other than centerpieces, you do not need to add decor.
