You should write a book about the waiting period. It could be in diary form. I think thats a GREAT idea

Hmmm, 7mom might be onto something there; with their permission, BlueRidgeMere, maybe you could use some of us Waiting Bees’ stories from right here in the hive. Just to build on the idea, it could be in diary form, with excerpts- “real stories from real people”, some of the more zany and entertaining, as well as some of the “success stories” of how Mr. Bee’s plan worked; just throwin’ stuff out there………

Writing a book about the waiting stage sounds like an awesome idea! “Waiting” is a topic that you never hear about anywhere.  I was so glad when I found the Bee, I honestly thought I was crazy for having the feelings I’ve had about waiting to get engaged, and reading everyone’s stories made me realize that it is totally NORMAL.  I second your story including real stories (with permission) from the hive.  I think it would be really cool to read a novel about a waiting girl with exerpts from real people from their waiting times!

The only book i’ve ever found that really helped me through understanding men and waiting is john greys mars and venus on a date. (this is the same person who wrote the infamous book men are from mars women are from venus) anyway the on a date book discusses the different levels of dating from first kiss to marriage and in the book there is a whole chapter called “when the clock starts clicking and he’s not wearing a watch” which talks about why your special other hasn’t proposed yet and what you can do to encourage it. the suggestions parody mr bees guide but i find it so accurate i still refer to the book while im (im)patiently waiting!

Always a Bridesmaid, I’m reading it right now. It’s not anything like the situation I’m in because her man doesn’t want to even talk about marriage, and hasn’t said I love you yet, and they’ve been together a year.
