10 conversations you must have before you get married.

Most of the conversations are ones that you’ve probably already had, but it makes you feel good that you’ve covered all of your basis in any marriage situation.

We liked it, but glazed through a bunch of chapters.

“Your Money and Your Man: How You and Prince Charming Can Spend Well and Live Rich” by Michelle Singletary.

I also liked “Committed” by Elizabeth Gilbert. I read it on my honeymoon!

@cafegirl:Personally, I wouldn’t recommend committed to newlyweds. The book is written by a women who “doesn’t believe in marriage” but has to make peace with it, since she requires a legal marriage to have her significant other live in the United States. The book is filled with anthropologic facts about the origins of marriage, focusing on the purpose of marriage in different cultures.

Now, I’m trying to start a big discussion, but personally when I’m currently in “newlywed happy land”, reading a cynical women’s shallow view of marriage is not on my to do list. I’m sure it speaks to some people, but if I want to hear the woes of marriage, I can just listen to my bitter divorced coworkers. lol
