We are thinking of heading to Bora bora for our honeymoon, but July seems to be the prime season and the prices are crazy :-(. I was wondering if it were too early to book my vacation? Also, it would be great if I could get some suggestions for hotels/agents/websites to book my vacation through.

We were thinking about going there but we only could get a week off and that is not enough for that kind of travel .. take into consideration the flight duration there and back when you book.

We’re going to Bora Bora / Moorea in February. We live in Seattle so the travel for us isn’t too long. We booked through Tahiti Travel Mate (TTM) which I found here on Weddingbee. We looked into Costco as well as booking through our Amex. TTM has been fantastic. They booked our airfare on our miles and they used our Amex points for nights at the hotels. We’ll be gone for 11 days. In Moorea we’re staying at the Hilton and in Bora Bora we’re staying at the Le Meridien.

My husband and I went to Moorea for 3 nights and Bora Bora for 4 nights. After checking with a few different travel agents we booked through Costco. We found the best deal through them. We loved it there! We stayed at Pearl beach in Bora Bora and Hilton Moorea. As far as booking now or later, I couldn’t really say which is best. I’m guessing the pricing doesn’t change THAT much. We booked about 2 months in advanced. Let me know if you have more questions.

I went years and years ago and did it through Club Med. It was my first time with Club Med and much better then I expected. The food is unsurpassed, tons of activites. Their bungalow are each sepreate and hang out over the water. They also owned this litte private island a few miles off shore. It was pristine beauty. Incredible. You could get a pack lunch and they would drop you off and leave you with the island to yourselves … really romantic. I think it was called Motu Tapu . Somethings like that. It means “forbidden island” becaue it used to belong to some queen and only she was allowed on it!
