Maybe you need to take a break from everything for awhile, so you can come back to it a be excited again.

I go through times like that too. For me, its not so much feeling “bored”, more that I can’t get motivated to do anything, even things I normally love. Similarly, during those times I’ll spend hours online doing “nothing” (usually on the WB Smile).

After many years of struggling with this, I have now come to appreciate and recognize my body’s cycles. A big learning for me was when I finally went to the Dr. and got diagnosed with ADHD, after intuiting that I had it for years. After talking with my doc I changed my diet and work habits, and eventually decided to go on ADHD meds. It has made such a huge difference for me. She also clued me into the fact that ADHD is linked to hormonal cycles and for that reason you may have a harder time concentrating during certain times of your menstrual cycle, and that ADHD has a strong correlation with depression in women.

The biggest thing I have learned over the past few years are ways of getting me out of those cycles when I don’t want to do anything. I need to force myself to get more excersize on those days, that really helps to get me going. I also need to go out and interact with people. I find that its harder to do nothing when I am around other people.

Anyway, that’s my sotry. I’m not saying that is what is going on with you, but when I read your post I related to it so strongly. Not saying that you have ADHD, but I think a lo of people’s bodies work in cycles, and learning how to recognize and adjust to your cycles can be really helpful. 🙂

It’s possible you’re just in a rut.  BUT…you could also have depression.  It’s worth looking into.  When I get bored, I usually go outside.  Sometimes I will just take a brisk walk at a local park.  For me, that’s the boost I need to get going on slow/boring days.
