I live in Milton and work in Cambridge – so pretty much any location is good!  I think December is a busy month for a lot of people and unfortunately my weekends are pretty much already planned!  But would love to come if the timing works with my schedule!

Miss Zebra is in Rhode Island – wonder if she would come too!?

I am so excited!  I can certainly make this work any time but would prefer to do an early evening on a weekend before or after the holidays the holidays (just not right around them) – with that said, it would be absolutely horrific to try to find parking anywhere near the Pru (or any other shopping mecca) leading up to the holidays.

So maybe we should wait till after the near year?!

I vote anywhere (I work in Andover) but for after the New Year too.  I’ll be on vacation pretty much all of December.

Sunset Grille in Alston usually has *some* parking and I think its off the Green Line. Just throwing it out there-  I’m in depending on the day.  :0)

Hi all, sorry for the delayed response!

Okay, for parking in and around the Pru:

First option is the garage. It’s the more expensive option, of course, but it’s convenient. Here’s a link to the different costs (i.e. before 5pm, per hour, validation, etc.) http://www.prudentialcenter.com/parking/rates.php

Then there’s the street parking. This involves a 3-5 minute walk, depending on how close you get. The side streets off of Huntington Ave, particularly those around NEC (New England Conservatory) and St. Botolph Street have tons of meters. My personal favorite is Cumberland Street, right across from the Christian Science reflecting pool. My other favorite spot (one block more of a walk) is on Gainsborough St. on the side opposite NEC. There are spaces in that area, just keep an eye out for residential restrictions — they’re on some streets but not all.

This link shows some of the other garages in the area, but they’re all a much longer walk. http://www.parking.com/search/search.aspx#/Lat=42.348476&Lng=-71.082586&page=1&title=prudential%20center%20boston%20ma&islotcode=false

And finally, I’d like to strongly recommend drivers park in whatever T/Commuter Rail location is closest to them and use public trans. Even in some of the other locations mentioned (like Cambridge) you’d be in a pricey garage or street parking. The Green Line E Train goes straight to the Pru (or, if you’d prefer, take any green line to Copely and walk through). It’s fast, cheap, and you won’t have to worry as much about driving soon after you’ve done some celebratory imbibing! πŸ˜€

Whew, ok. I could potentially do a weeknight prior to the holidays, but maybe post-NYE would be easier for the majority? Can’t wait to try and make this work!

Here is a site where you can get discounted rates on parking in Boston.  Just print off the coupon and you are good to go!  I could definitely do a meet up prior to the holidays.  Afterwards may be tough because the wedding will be about 2-3 weeks away but if that’s what everyone chooses, I will see what I can do!

I work in Lowell, but live off the Oak Grove Orange line.  I don’t mind driving into the city, but early evening would be difficult for me on weekdays.

I would prefer Pru area, just because I am familiar with it;)  I think after the holidays would probably be best for the weekends, but I could most likely do a weeknight (I have been babysitting until 5:30 some nights, and it would take at least an hour to get to Quincy to hop on the T).

Can’t wait to find out the when and where!!

When we had the meet up last year, we had it at Fajitas and Ritas near the Boston Common, which seemed to work out well. And like Miss Zebra said, Sunset Grille is delicious and pretty accessible πŸ˜€

No matter what happens, I’m in! πŸ™‚
