While I understand being happy that he was caught, I don’t think wishing people would die is a good thing.

@peachacid:  Yeah, it’s the cool thing to do though, so we’ll likely hear shit like that quite a bit.

Anyway, that’s great, I’m glad people can breathe easy…I HOPE there isn’t anyone else involved in this and I don’t know that I’d let my guard down yet – but I’m pretty shocked how long one little 19 year old can go on evading arrest by thousands of police and the entire city on the look out. Crazy!

I honestly thought he would kill himself before they got him. He values his life though I guess, and so I wonder how much his brother influenced him in this. He had to have known this would be a death sentence one way or another. Big brother was the one heavily involved in this terrorism crap anyway, and little bro is so damn young. It will be interesting to see what unfolds.

Not excuses or anything, just verbal diarrhea and curiosity here.

I’m not a fan of vengeance however

Is my text all different sizes for everyone else? Whyyy does it do that

@peachacid:  I agree. OP has since stated what they meant, but I am so sick in general of the calls for blood. I find it rather offensive.

@Kat:  Yes, seriously.  Just because someone ALLEGEDLY bombed people doesn’t mean he IMMEDIATELY deserves to die.  We live in a DEMOCRACY, remember?  I guess you’re totally okay with people being held indefinitely without charging them…

Well. That escalated quickly.

Personally, I am excited they caught the suspect.  I am glad that no one elce has been hurt  and I hope that justice is served for all.

ETA: I also really want to know WHY?

@peachacid:  Don’t assume you know what I am or was thinking. I agree that I would rather see him tried, because it is one of the great things about our country: true justice.

But I think it’s a little crazy to come into a thread like this and automatically assume that the OP was wishing him dead. Not to mention, there are about a million other things to think than whether or not he dies. He deserves it either way. My concern goes out to our nation, the innocent person who died at the hands of these monsters, and to those who are traumatized by the incident.

He SERIOUSLY deserves whatever he gets, and frankly in the end it doesn’t matter if it is death. I’d rather die for a crime I didn’t commit, than spend the rest of my life in prison for a crime I did commit and then have to face the wrath of God on the other side. He’ll have to face his maker either way!

He looks rough in the pic I saw. Hopefully he lives so we can maybe find out why they would do this.

@Kat:  +1

the people of Boston are extremely proud of the brave public servants who caught these horrible people so quickly. They have shown pride, compassion, and a sense of community that is inspiring to say the least. Right now implying people are wrong for feeling angry and wishing these murderers dead is frankly, kind of disrespectful.
