Hi Boston bees–has anyone looked at the Park Plaza hotel as a potential reception site? I imagine it would be on the pricier end but I was wondering if anyone had more information on just how pricey it might get :). Please let me know if you have looked and what prices they quoted for minimums and what not. Thanks!

I stayed at that hotel in April/2012 for a conference, and my hotel room had a cockroach. But it is a beautiful hotel. My group had 10 hotel rooms, and mine was the only one with that issue.

Personally I don’t think it’s anything special. Just your average “luxury” hotel in the city. They are a dime a dozen!

I’m a Boston Bee but I didn’t check out the Park Plaza for my venue. I know it’s on the pricier side but can’t say for certain what it might be. I did see some pretty sad reviews on the Park Plaza (from wedding guests). Just so you keep that in mind:

We priced out the Fairmont Copley and I believe that was $175/plate but I can’t remember if that included open bar or not…
…we chose the Boston Marriott Cambridge in Kendall Square…they included free parking, chairs (in most packages) and your color of linens…plus they have a “rooftop” garden on the 4th floor where you can marry outside…crazy, insane cheap…in fact, they are so affordable that their wedding bookings have jumped significantly so I bet they will increase prices soon…I know for the cheapest package a chicken dinner is like, $68 and still has cocktail hour included and parking. Their customer service is bar-none.
