• Photographer: Khanna Photography (based in DC).  Kyra and G were a pleasure to work with!
• Cake: Cakes to Remember (delicious and beautiful) + Whole Foods Market for sheet cake (also delicious, and affordable)
• DJ/Music:Band – Boston Common Band (AWESOME.  I can elaborate if anyone is interested.)
• Florist: Whole Foods Market (Fresh Pond).  The flowers were beautiful and the price was about half what other florists in the area quoted me.
• Stationery: Wedding Paper Divas – really pretty and a great price.
• Ceremony and Cocktail Musician: Boston String Ensemble (ceremony) – very nice and easy to work with
• Hair: Gina and Maria from Pure.  Really fun and easy to work with, and the girls all looked great!
• Makeup: Gina from Pure
• Dress: Sassi Holford
• Bridesmaids: J Crew
• Rehearsal Dinner: Bacco – in the North End – highly recommend them!  The food was delicious, the space was great for 45 people, and everyone at Bacco was very nice.
• Day of Wedding Coordinator: Emilie from Pink Orchid Weddings – I don’t know what we would have done without Emilie!  She made the day go smoothly and spent a lot of time in advance helping us be ready.
• Transportation: Local Motion of Boston – they were good.
• Transportation: PlanetTran – we used PlanetTran for a bunch of the smaller wedding transportation needs and they were great.  On time, nice vehicles, no problems.
• Nails: MiniLuxe – we went to the Newbury Street location and it was perfect.  Plenty of space, really nice staff, gorgeous nails.
• Hotels: Onyx Hotel – they were great all around.
• Hotels: Bullfinch Hotel – lots of problems here.  They didn’t pass out our welcome bags despite repeated requests/promises, some of the welcome bags later disappeared, they had a major plumbing issue so some of our guests had to take bucket bath showers, they overbooked and sent one of our guests to another hotel, one room was very dirty, etc.  They were nice, but too many other issues.
• Tuxedos: Men’s Wearhouse.  A solid choice – they were nice and affordable.
• Tent: JG Willis Tents – the tent was great and all around it was a good experience. Keith was my contact. 617.527.0037.
• Chairs & linens: Peterson Party Center – great to work with. No complaints.

@Audrey9398:I love the  BBC (British Beer Company)…they have a bunch of locations but my favorite in on the cape. If you like brie, you have to get their bakd brie appetizer, so yummy!

@sweetbabyboston: I had Seth Isaacs from Beat Train and he was great!  I would really recommend them to anyone.  My husband and I have a pretty eclectic taste in music and we gave him a few songs that were “Must Play” and he was able to build a playlist which we loved.  I can honestly say that the only time the dance floor was slow was when dessert was served.  But after that, the dance floor was busy the whole night which was wonderful since our wedding was pretty small with only 80 people.  

Seth read the crowd really well and just played one great song after another.  As evidence, here are some pics from the middle of the night where my VERY traditional Asian family completely let loose.  Seth got people from ALL ages dancing – ranging from a little 7 year old to my husband’s 92 year old grandmother.

My new sister-in-law with my grandmother.  This was pretty much they’re hello introduction.

We also used Seth from Beat Train, and I have to say that they were, by far, the best vendor that we used…so professional, and Seth (and Ari) really took the time to listen to what we were looking for regarding music at our wedding.  I cannot recommend them enough!  🙂

DJ, Ceremony and Cocktail Musician: Aaron Denny (http://www.aarondenny.com) – Aaron does it ALL for a really reasonable price. He played guitar during our ceremony and cocktail hour and then was our DJ for the reception We had soooo many of our guests come up to us to say Aaron is the best DJ they have ever heard. 

Hair & Makeup: Caitlin Murphy (http://www.caitlinmurphystylist): I was soooo psyched to get Caitlin for our wedding because she really has a name for herself in the Boston area. I actually started crying when I looked in the mirror because I have never felt so beautiful in my whole life. She is the sweetest and kindest person you’ll meet and it was such a blessing to have her calming and enthusiastic attitude there on my wedding day.
