Hi there!  We decided pretty early on in the planning process that we wanted to have our wedding at a hotel in Boston proper.  Our venue is the Liberty Hotel, which totally blew me away when I saw it.  Also high on our list were the Lenox, Westin Copley Place, and Marriott Long Wharf.  If money were no object, my dream reception would take place at the Boston Public Library, but that would have blown our budget way up!  If you’re interested in something a little outside the city, we liked the looks of the Larz Anderson Auto Museum or the deCordova Museum.

In terms of finding venues, I had a lot of luck using a combination of herecomestheguide.com as well as googling “Boston wedding” and related searches.

I went to a beautiful wedding at the New England Aquarium – I would highly recommend that as a Boston venue.

Naticw23:  I looked at the libery too, but didn’t end up going there. My dream was the state house which is absolutely stunning but about a million dollars. We went with the Millennium Bostonian which is extremely affordable for being literally right in Fanueil Hall AND having an amazing view.

We were just at an event at the Seaport which was really freakin cold but also completely stunning, and the Seaport Hotel was really lovely too.

Naticw23:  Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center as well as the Artists for Humanity center are both really cool venues. The Artists for Humanity one is very modern. I second the DeCordova museum for the grounds but I didn’t really like the space they had for the reception. Boston Public Library was my dream venue. Tower Hill Botanical Garden is cool if you want to venture out west. Turner Hill Mansion has some of the most elegant architecture. Oh and one historic venue that absolutely blew my mind was Crane Estate

I’m having my May 2nd wedding at Stonehurst in Waltham, MA. Big stone mansion type building. Can hold a maximum of 150. But you have to find all the other vendors for it (but it comes with tables and chairs unless you want to upgrade!). I think it’s gorgeous! look into it and let me know if you have any questions. My planning is practically done!

I’m having my wedding at the Exchange Conference Center on the Boston waterfront. It makes for great city views since it’s so close to downtown and it’s also on the water! The venue also has off-season pricing available.

  • Wedding: October 2016 - Boston Museum of Science

Our venue is the Museum of Science for both the ceremony and the reception. Our ceremony is going to be int he theater of electricity and after it we get to go into the lightning cage to get zapped by lightning! They for our reception we have the entire 3 floors of the blue wing. We are both very science driven and nerdy so it was the best choice for our personalities. 🙂

Naticw23:  We’re getting married at the BC Club downtown. It’s on the 36th floor of the Bank of America building in the Financial District with floor-to-ceiling windows and incredible views of the entire city. It’s a GREAT deal for the location and amenities – we have the entire floor of the building to ourselves (and really, the whole building, as it’s a Saturday and no one will be around); the food is delicious and the staff is amazing. Plus, free garage parking for our guests! I am obsessed with the place, and I’m so glad we found it.
