@arborlon:  I hear you on that one! I tend to cry when I’m angry. I’ll be arguing with someone and cry.

You have a killer figure! I find that ppl tend to be more vocal about bashing or shaming slender ppl more than bigger ppl. It’s like they think bc slimmer people have it so great they can take the criticism…which is total BS. I would kindly mention to your family how hurtful you find their comments. It might help them realise that they are doing more harm than good. Some ppl just don’t get how insensitive they can be. You are so gorgeous…be proud of your hot little bod!

You’re exactly the same as me! I’m just under 5’7″ and I fluctuate between 135-145. People always comment about how ‘skinny’ I am, and my mom used to be bitchy about me ‘not eating enough’ just because I knew how to control my portion sizes. Now that she’s trying to get healthier herself, she doesn’t say anything ๐Ÿ˜›

Anways, you are definitely fit! It’s the muscle that weighs more, and it causes fat to be burned more efficiently. I’d say don’t let them get to you! You look good, you’re healthy, and it is for your benefit, and your FI’s benefit to have a Fiance who looks damn good! Lol

i think a lot of it is jealousy coming from them, and the fact they don’t understand your lifestyle. Use it as motivation to stay fit and empower yourself!

1) Your body is slamming and if you want to trade me, that’d be spectacular.

2) Your mom/sister are jealous harpies and you need to ignore them.

3) The snide comments about you being possibly infertile are idiotic. Fertility is primarily a function of age (you’re young) and genes (since your mom has had at least two kids, I’m guessing this isn’t a problem) and uh, having sex (which I have a feeling that you could find at least one man willing).

That’s my best advice. I know it’s not totally warm and fuzzy, but it’s from the heart. It sucks they are giving you a bad time, but you can just think of them sort of like the mom and stepsisters from Cinderella, and laugh to yourself, and keep on being awesome. That’s what I would do. ๐Ÿ™‚

@arborlon:  So according to your mom you’re too skinny and your sis is too fat – I love how no one can be good enough!  That’s how I feel with my parents – nothing is ever good enough!  Talk about a confidence boost.  /end sarcasm.

Lots of good comments here, and I’ll add my two cents as well: we live in a society where the MAJORITY of people are obese/overweight or heading there…the less often we see healthy and fit people the more we tend to think it’s abnormal.  Especially if your family has lots of overweight members.

I’m the same way – 5’6″ 132ish lbs.  Have maintained that weight for years.  I eat five-ish meais a day, lots of veggies, am pretty active and run with my dog only now and then.  Funny how odd that kind of lifestyle would probably sound to one of your overweight family members!

My mom worries every now and then that i don’t eat enough, but not in a mean way.  She however doesn’t make me feel bad for my weight though, which is what it sounds like your family members are doing, albeit inadvertently…I would definitely let them know that it is not ok.  Laughing out loud at their comments would probably work!  It usually catches people off guard, right?  ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh and also – you look amazing!  Congrats on being healthy and beautiful and loving your body. ๐Ÿ™‚  Ignore the fertility comments because really, it sounds like they have no clue.  ๐Ÿ™‚

@arborlon:  what you’re doing is perfectly healthy. you workout and you eat 6 meals to keep your metabolism going.

THE ISSUE ISN’T WITH YOU. your FI’s family and whomever else is saying rude things are being totally negative and are tragically misinformed about what a HEALTHY lifestyle looks like. some people think that NOT eating is the best way to lose weight, but i’m sure you know that it’s the worse way to go about losing weight.

YOU LOOK GREAT! ignore the numbers on a scale and ignore the people.

@arborlon:  Personally I think you look very healthy and from what you said you lead a very healthy lifestyle.  I am so sorry your family is so ignorant about healthcare/nutrition.  You look amazing and as long as you feel healthy and your doctor agrees, don’t pay attention to what they say.

I would have been a bitch and told them to look in a mirror.

And why are you letting people who are UNhealthy tell you how you should look. that seems ass-backwards to me
